This integrated system combines a multihead combination weigher with an automated pre-made bag packaging unit, enabling a complete process that includes precise weighing of granular products, automatic bag retrieval, bag opening, product filling, and final sealing.
Designed for pre-made bags, the stand up pouch machines accommodate various formats, such as stand-up pouches, zippered bags, and other styles that meet the machine's specifications. The multihead weigher utilizes multiple weigh hoppers to measure product independently, then combines these portions to achieve the target weight-a method that overcomes the speed limitations inherent in single-hopper weighing systems.

1. Flexible options for pre-made bag packaging: The equipment utilizes pre-manufactured bags, eliminating the need to form bags from roll film within the machine itself. Depending on the equipment's specifications, various bag styles-such as stand-up pouches, zippered bags, flat-bottom bags, or other pre-made formats-can be selected, allowing pet food brands to implement diverse packaging designs.

Automated, synchronized workstations to minimize manual labor: The entire process-from bag retrieval and opening to filling, sealing, and discharging the finished product-is executed automatically by the machine. This significantly reduces the need for manual tasks like loading individual bags or sealing them by hand. Operators primarily focus on tasks such as replenishing the supply of bags, monitoring material levels, overseeing machine operation, and addressing any operational anomalies.
3. Optimized product-feed paths for granular materials: When dry pet food or granular treats fall freely, issues such as bouncing, collisions, jamming, or physical damage to the kibble can occur. Factors such as the dimensions of the feed hopper opening, the incline angle of the chutes, and the drop height all directly influence how the material moves through the system.

The feeding system transports pet food from a ground-level storage area to the intake height of the multihead weigher, reducing the need for repetitive manual handling and the physical exertion involved in loading materials at an elevated position.

Adjusting vibration intensity and feed parameters can improve material distribution; however, the specific settings must be determined through testing, taking into account the flow characteristics of the particles.

The stand up pouch machines each weigh hopper is responsible for independently measuring the weight of the material it contains. Once material enters a weigh hopper, the load cell converts the change in weight into a measurement signal, which is then used by the control system to perform combinatorial calculations.

The bag magazine is used to store empty bags awaiting packaging, providing a continuous supply for the bag-retrieval mechanism. Its guide positioning and limiting structures help maintain the alignment of the bags, minimizing the impact of any bag displacement on the automated retrieval process.
