Common Liquid Filling Machine Problems and How to Fix Them

Liquid filling machines are widely used in industries such as food & beverage, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and chemicals. During daily production, some common problems may affect filling accuracy and production efficiency. Understanding these issues and their solutions can help reduce downtime and improve machine performance.

1. Inaccurate Filling Volume

One of the most common problems is inconsistent filling volume. This may be caused by air inside the pipeline, unstable liquid viscosity, worn filling valves, or incorrect machine settings. Regular calibration, checking seals and valves, and maintaining stable product temperature can help improve filling accuracy.

2. Nozzle Dripping After Filling

Dripping nozzles can lead to product waste and dirty containers. This issue is usually caused by residual pressure, damaged seals, or unsuitable nozzle designs. Using anti-drip nozzles, adjusting filling pressure, and cleaning the nozzles regularly are effective solutions.

3. Foaming During Filling

Foaming often occurs when filling beverages, detergents, or other low-viscosity liquids. High filling speed and improper nozzle positioning are common causes. Reducing filling speed and using bottom-up filling methods can help minimize foam generation.

4. Machine Not Starting

If the liquid filling machine does not start properly, the problem may come from power supply issues, sensor failure, or insufficient air pressure in pneumatic systems. Operators should check the emergency stop button, electrical connections, sensors, and air compressor system.

5. Conveyor Jamming

Bottle jams on the conveyor system can interrupt production and reduce efficiency. This problem is often caused by incorrect guide rail adjustment, worn conveyor belts, or inconsistent bottle sizes. Regular inspection and proper alignment of the conveyor system can prevent jamming issues.

Although liquid filling machines are designed for efficient and stable production, regular maintenance is essential to avoid common operational problems. Routine inspection, cleaning, and proper machine adjustment can improve filling accuracy, reduce downtime, and extend equipment lifespan. Choosing a reliable filling machine manufacturer also helps ensure long-term production stability.
